Illness

Cooper at the doctors office
Charlie doing his breathing treatments
We called it the FAT EYE!!

An update on the nasty diseases floating around our house:

Charlie has been busy doing a breathing treatment three times a day. He does pretty well with it, I have to keep him busy with "crafts" while he is sitting still. It's pretty easy to come up with ideas considering I did the same thing when I was about ten years old. He seems to be getting much better. Saturday he did hit a bump in the road when he woke up from his nap...his eye was so swollen it looked as if someone shoved a golf ball in his face! Gave him some Benadryl, waited til the next morning, and it was gone. Just another one of those weird medical mysteries I guess.

Little Cooper has been trying so hard to fight all of these nasty germs. Today I did have to bite the bullet and take him in to see the doctor though. The good news is I still only have one child with the pnuemonia! The bad news is I now have one child with croup. Once again, something I had as a child and passed along to my children. I can't wait for this to all be over. I'm thinking about having the entire house fumigated when this is all over...

It's like Deja Vu

On May 5th Andy will go to work for another company. Yes, it is still in Phoenix, and after about a month he will still be able to work from home. This isn't something we set out for, considering he just started a new job around seven months ago, but it came along, and it seemed like we couldn't pass it up. New adventures, that's our theme around here! Here is the link to his new company. http://www.oasisadvantage.com/ Good luck Daddy!! (Hopefully there will be less travel too...)

Confirmation

Poor, poor Charlie. I could keep saying he has "the crap", or "the plague" but the doctor called and confirmed today that he does have pneumonia. He's already started some medication and he'll begin doing breathing treatments soon. Bummer. We have a close eye on Cooper. This is one time where two is NOT better than one. Here's to a speedy recovery!

Sick...AGAIN!

The Flu
For the third time in two months, the kids are both sick again! Runny noses, fevers, coughs...I like to refer to it as THE CRAP. Hopefully we'll kick this by the end of the week, and all get back to normal life. It's no fun having the plague.

Disney PART 3!!

Disney pictures part 2

Home Sweet Home

We made it home from Disneyland. What a great couple of days we had. Charlie had a wonderful birthday, he says he wants to be at Disney "every year for it" Cooper was beyond great. We weren't sure how well a two year old would do, but he was such a trooper and loved everything about the experience. Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster ride turned out to be a huge hit for our family, along with the classics: dumbo, teacups, and of course meeting Mickey and his pals. Next time we decided we will FOR SURE stay in the hotel that is located RIGHT INSIDE THE PARK!! (How easy is that?!)

NASCAR 2008

Charlie had such a fun time at his first Nascar event. He was really rootin' for Junior to win, but was happy one of his other favorites, Jimmie Johnson, won. Thanks again Papa for the tickets!

Happy Birthday Andy!

Oh dear, it's been awhile

Yes, I kind of dropped off of the face of the earth for awhile. I know, I know, I missed all the "major" events too...well, major holidays at least. Everyone is doing well. Charlie's school year is winding down, Cooper is still working his hardest (wink wink) on trying to learn how to talk, Andy is working like a mad man and is enrolled in a Master's program, I am still just a stay at home mom, and it's going to be 100 degrees this weekend. I promise to update at least a few times a week...for now!
