1 down-how much more to go?

Jeep Liberty Pictures, Images and Photos
We sold the Jeep today. That's great news, I really wanted that done before Andy had to leave. Now we just have to get rid of this house...not fun.

We told the boys we were moving, Charlie acts like he's excited. They both always bring up the snow when we talk about Minnesota. We've all had a stomach virus this week-so gross. Hopefully we'll be healthy soon.

2009 is oh sooo fine!

Here's the scoop:

Andy was offered a job in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was a job he interviewed for but didn't really think it was a possibility. Surprise!! It's a great opportunity, it's exactly where Andy wants to be on his career path. He is set to "ship out" on January 26 (soo sudden) and the kids and I will follow in early March. That means a month of the kids and I by ourselves tying up loose ends in Phoenix, but a month for Andy to house hunt and get acclimated to the area. We are very excited and so happy about the offer. The weather does scare me quite a bit, as does the distance. But, we're hell bent on finding a house with a finished basement for lots of visitors, and we will do whatever we can to get back to the "west" as often as possible. The kids don't know yet, that will come soon. OH! and Mall of America will be oh so very close!!! Yay!

New Years Eve

Happy 2009! (Here's to hoping 2009 is waaaaay better than 2008...)

For the second year in a row, we spent New Year's Eve up at the cabin in Greer Arizona. It was chilly and there was tons of snow to play in! Andy's family was with us up there as well. These pictures of Andy and I are of our annual "hat making contest" We all decorate crowns with any kind of material we can find and try to vote for the most creative or funniest one. This year was a blast (I think the competition gets a little more exciting the more we all drink!)

Charlie and his Aunt Pat made everyone Monkey Bread one morning. Boy oh boy it was delish!

Us "kids" went to a sledding hill on Friday morning. The boys loved it! The hill was too big for them to go down by themselves so Cooper went down with Andy and Charlie went with Uncle Brett. They must've gone down 700 times! Charlie covered his eyes most of the time and Cooper screamed "weeeeeee" every single time he went down.

Andy, Alex, and Brett are all big time snowboarders. They created their own "ski run" outside of the cabin so they could all snowboard. They all had fun and we had a blast watching them. While the boys were at the top of the mountain creating their "ski run" I got bored and decided I would try to snowboard myself. I have skiied before (if any of you Ft. Wayne girls are reading this that comment should bring a smile to your face...me skiing is quite funny and the first time I went was hysterical!) Anyways, I hopped on Andy's snowboard made my own "trail" and went to town! It was actually way easier than skiing. I didn't strap in because every time I got nervous I just jumped out of the board and sent it down the hill by itself! I'm kind of excited to be able to go up again and try it some more! I'm gonna give those boys a run for their money...

Merry Late Christmas

Christmas was tons of fun this year. We spent Christmas Eve with Andy's family, which is always a great time. Christmas morning we woke up early (615 ish) well, Charlie had gotten up at 2:30 and wanted to go downstairs but he got denied, and we all saw what Santa had left!! Charlie was so excited as he ran down the stairs he just started yelling. He was yelling "BEARS, BEARS, BEARS" we have no idea why (there was nothing bear related in the heap of Christmas presents) I think he was truly that excited and half asleep still. After we ripped open our presents it was off to my parents house for another round of gifts! Later in the day we went to go see Bedtime Stories. We're hoping to make the movie theatre thing a tradition every year on Christmas...we'll see how that goes!
