It's coming

Ooooh, it's a big week. I've always been a huge fan of the show, and even own the complete dvd set. I am really looking forward to this weekend so I can go see it on the big screen.

Speaking of movies, we had to go see a movie this past weekend...


Speed Racer. And no, it was NOT GOOD! I've had to sit through a lot of "kids" movies and this one was baaad. Charlie seemed to like it o.k. but even smarty pants Cooper knew it was a stinker...he laid down and went to sleep half way through. (Cooper normally never likes to sleep during movies) Oh well, everyone seemed to really enjoy the popcorn.

I've been dreading this day for a long time. My little baby got his first "big boy" haircut today. I loved Cooper's surfer dude blonde hair, but it's just not practical when it's 110+ degrees here. He sweats way too much. So, I chopped it all off. Cooper seemed fine with it, Charlie didn't. He looked at and said "I don't like it! I want his long hair back. He doesn't look like Cooper anymore" and almost started crying. It's amazing what a haircut can do. Maybe we'll all stop saying he looks like Chris Farley now!

Daily Charlie-ism

Charlie just told me as we were leaving the grocery store, that he was "so stressed out" I fought back my laughter and asked him why. He said "because I want some candy so bad, and I can't get any, and I really need it." AAHAHAHAHA! Thank goodness he gives me something to laugh at everyday.

Class of 2008

Charlie graduated from preschool on Tuesday! He had a little "ceremony" at school to celebrate the event. He had to say goodbye to his teachers and friends, as next year he will not be going back to the same school. (We're going to go to one much closer to home) Here's to fun summer break!!

Yes, I did get my entire box of cupcakes. It was TOTALLY worth the wait, the money, and the two pound gain per cupcake!

Hercules

I found this picture in a frame in a box today. I showed it to Charlie, because he LOVES hearing old stories about Hercules. (Back story for those who forgot or don't know: Hercules was our true "first child". We got him a few months after we were married, and had him until October of 2004, which would make Charlie about six months old. He had bad seizures and had to be put down. He was WILD to put it mildly) Charlie held the frame for quite some time, and said "MOM! Hercules was sooooo cute." I told him what a wonderful little dog he was, and that he was the cutest puppy ever. He then stuttered over his words and finally got this out:"Mom, Hercules shouldn't have died before I growed up" OH, BLESS HIS HEART!! He continued to ask questions about Herc, how he got sick, what he did, and kept saying he would've loved to be best buddies with him. He's so grown up now, having conversations with him is quite enjoyable these days. Final point: Hercules was the best. We miss him lots.

Counting down

It's truly sad that I am so excited about this, but coming this Wednesday Sprinkles cupcakes is set to open in Scottsdale. Every time I have read about one of these or have seen the picture my mouth begins to salivate! I can't wait. I've already requested a whole box for Mother's Day...

To Hybrid or not to Hybrid

Andy and I are seriously considering buying a 2008 Toyota Prius. With the Jeep only getting 16mpg currently, and the Prius gets up to 50mpg (seriously, I've seen it with my own two eyes) it seems like a no brainer. Anyone wanna buy a Jeep Liberty??
